Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is one of the most iconic outdoor destinations in Texas. This massive pink granite dome rises 425 feet above the surrounding Hill Country landscape, offering breathtaking views from the summit and a variety of hiking trails for all skill levels.
Located about 40 minutes from Lea Lou Lodge, Enchanted Rock draws hikers, rock climbers, stargazers, and nature lovers from across the state. The main trail to the summit is a moderate climb that rewards you with 360-degree views of the Hill Country.
Reservations are required for entry, especially on weekends and holidays. We recommend booking your day pass in advance through the Texas Parks and Wildlife website. The park is also a designated International Dark Sky Park, making it one of the best stargazing locations in Texas.
